Ghana R Users Community is a non-profit organization dedicated to building practical data science, research, and statistical computing capacity across Ghana and Africa. We empower students, researchers, academics, data professionals, government institutions, NGOs, and development organizations through training, mentorship, consulting, partnerships, and conferences.

Founded in 2022, we grew from the early Accra R User Group (started in 2016 and revived in 2019). Today, we serve as the umbrella body supporting and coordinating city-based R communities, while promoting the use of R for solving real-world challenges across sectors like health, education, research, and governance.
