Ghana R Conference is an annual flagship national convening organised by The Ghana R users Community for analysts, researchers, technologists, data professionals, developers, academics, entrepreneurs, and students who use or are interested in R.
The 2026 edition of the conference, Ghana R Conference 2026, is themed:
"Ghana Digitalization Drive: Transforming the AI Ecospace of Ghana with R Software"
As Ghana continues its journey toward a digitally empowered future, the role of R as a tool for data science, machine learning, AI, and evidence-based decision-making has never been more important. This conference provides a unique national platform to explore how R is being used to build intelligent systems, shape policy, support industry transformation, and enable academic and research excellence across sectors.
The 2026 edition places a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly how R can be deployed in;

- Data Engineering and MLOps
- Business Intelligence and Automation
- Smart Systems and Digital Innovation
- Health, Agriculture, Finance, Governance, and Social Development
Participants can expect keynote presentations, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions that highlight both technical mastery and real-world impact.
We will be glad to welcome diverse group of leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from the global R community.
We are now accepting proposals for Talks, Workshops, Tutorial Sessions, Demonstrations, and Lightning Talks.

The conference will take place at Teachers Hall GNAT Hostel located behind the Information and Communication Services Department Headquarters near Accra Technical Institute. This venue offers a comfortable and collaborative environment for conference activities. The venue is easily accessible from major transportation hubs in Accra. Virtual participation via zoom is also available.
