Journey to R Mastery: Celebrating the success of the R Mentorship Programs
At the Ghana R Users Community, we are committed to fostering growth, knowledge, and innovation in R Programming. We are thrilled to share the successful conclusion of our one-month online Women and Men R Mentorship Training Programs. These programs, which ran concurrently, were designed to empower participants with a deep understanding of R programming, from basic to advanced concepts.
The journey began with our passionate and dedicated mentors guiding a total of 70 participants—20 women and 50 men—through a comprehensive curriculum that was carefully designed to equip them with the essential skills in R Programming, data analysis, manipulation, and visualization.
Program Structure and Curriculum
Both mentorship programs were structured to ensure a balanced approach, with live sessions, group assignments, and individual projects. Over the course of five weeks, participants engaged in a rich learning experience, with classes held three days each week. The Women’s program ran from Monday to Wednesday, while the Men’s program took place Thursday to Saturday.
The course materials were supplemented with practical assignments and group projects, giving participants hands-on experience. The culmination of their learning involved live presentations, where participants showcased their knowledge, creativity, and newly acquired skills.
